From time-to-time I get inspired by something in the world of cycling and just for fun the idea gets manifested in a concept shoe or jersey, or both.

In 2021, Great Britain's Bethany Shriever won the lot in BMX. Olympic and then World Champion. I created a concept Adidas Superstar to celebrate her historic achievement.

For the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Great Britain's Kye Whyte received a matching custom panted GT BMX frame and Troy Lee helmet with a pink leopard print design. I figured he needed some shoes to match and used the Nike Air More Uptempo silhouette as inspiration. Kye proceeded to win a silver medal, so a colour way to celebrate was in order.

British Cycling got a new sponsor. It was not ideal.

I was lucky enough to get hold of one of Alan's 40th Anniversary S&M Steel Panther frames. After photographing my build, I realised don't have a jersey to match...

Concept EF Pro Cycling jersey to help make cycling more accessible and appealing to new audiences. The biggest shift from the status quo is a squad number and name to make riders more identifiable on TV. Additional concept details are identifiers to denote the World Tour Team champions and significant individual career victories – in this case a lion of Flanders to mark Alberto Bettiol's win at the 2019 Ronde Van Vlaanderen.

Air Max 95 BMX shoe and matching jersey with Great Britain's Kye Whyte as an inspiration

To celebrate Air Max Day, I translated the AM 2090 silhouette into a cycling shoe and matching jersey

Elite BMX racer Vincent Pelluard is supposed to be retired. The Coffee Chatter BMX podcast boys definitely are but are following #RetiredVinny closely. Latte art inspired concept jersey for a race team that needs to happen.

Qhubeka is a global charity that moves people forward with bicycles in Africa and launched a competition to design a cycling jersey highlighting their work. As a rule I don't enter design competitions, but this one was for a great cause and this concept came to me quickly. My idea is rooted in the meaning of the word Qhubeka – “to progress”, “to move forward”. Taking cues from traditional Nguni artworks I wanted to represent the journeys that are undertaken in the production of bicycles and their recipients.

This concept was a simple love letter to Nike to come back to cycling. It could be oh-so beautiful!

In a campaign to urge mountain bikers to stay safe during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Singletrack World coined the phrase, No car, No Gnar, Not far. I felt it needed a matching jersey.
